I agree.Skelton 2 Skelton*s citation read, in part: "...as one who has suffered deep domestic griefs, you have a sensitivity and concern for the burdens and suffering of your fellow man. You have brought rich talents and an indefatigable drive to your profession, carrying the art of pnatomime to new heights." Earlier in the afternoon, Skelton became the ninth recipient of the Joseph E, Connor Memorial Award, presented annually for "an outstanding contribution in the communications art" by Phi Alpha Tau fraternity of Emerson College. An unexpected welcome to Boston was given Skelton by twelve men from his home town of Vincennes, Indiana. Led by Mayor Holly Kilfoil, the group flew east this weekend to attend the ceremonies honoring their native son. Others in the group included Richard Bauer, president of the Vincennes School Board, Clarence Talbert, Superintendant of Lincoln High School in Vincennes, and Superintendent of Schools Glenn Bretz. Earlier in the week, Skelton had been awarded an honorary diploma from Lincoln High. Present with Skelton during the afternoon were his wife, Georgia, and A1 Freeman of Las Vegas, Nevada. (MORE)
