AN ORDINANCE TO REQUIRE A CHECKING FEE UPON THE SUBMISSION OF A FINAL MAP FOR EACH SUBDIVISION OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Each final map of a proposed subdivision within the City of Las Vegas shall be accompan­ied by a checking fee payable to the City of Las Vegas. Such fee shall be in the sum of TWENTY FIVE ($25.00) DOLLARS, plus the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) DOLLARS for each lot or parcel of land delineated on said map. SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. The City Clerk and the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this Ordinance No. 531 to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its final reading and adoption, in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published published in the City of Las Vegas. ORDINANCE NO. 532 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND EMERGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 460 ENTITLED: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY; DEFINING TERMS; PROVIDING FOR EXAMINATION; ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY LISTS; PROVIDING FOR APPOINT­MENTS; PROMOTIONS; DISCIPLINARY ACTION; REPORTS AND RECORDS; CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS; AND ALL MATTERS RE­LATING LATING THERETO; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 391 AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH," BY FURTHER DEFINING RE-EMPLOYMENT LISTS; BY PROVIDING AN ANNIVERSARY DATE OF EMPLOYMENT; BY PROVID­ING FOR COMPENSATION FOR EMPLOYEES IN LIMITED TERM POSITIONS IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATIONS; AND OTHER MATTERS PROP­ERLY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section VI, Paragraph D, of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Las Vegas, is hereby amended to read as follows: Re-employment List - Regular employees with more than six months service with the City of Las Vegas who are separated from the service through a reduction of force, and for no other reason, may at their request, made within sixty days thereafter, be place upon a re-employment list in the order of their ratings to be de­termined by their efficiency as demonstrated while employed in their respective departments and their length of service with said departments. The eligibility of all candidates on the re-employment list will expire two years from the date upon which they became entitled to re-employment rights. Continuation beyond the two year period of eligibility as above provided, may be granted in the discretion of the Civil Service Board by such, eligible. The re-employment list shall be given preference over the regular employment list whenever vacancies shall occur in the competitive services including re-establishment of abolished positions. SECTION 2. That there shall be a new section to be designated as Sub-paragraph G. of Section IX of the Civil Service Rules and regulations of the City of Las Vegas, to read as follows: For the purpose of computation for leave purposes, both annual and sick, the date of the pay period immediately following the first employment shall be designated as the anniversary date of each employee in the competitive service of the City of Las Vegas.
