I agree.y- % DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY HEADQUARTERS HEADQUARTERS COMPANY l^-th COMBAT AVIATION BATTALION APO San Francisco 9637^ 29 November 1969 Dear Sir This letter comes to you from another great vacation spot in the world, "Sunny Vietnam" on the South China Sea, I am addressing this letter to your club for some help in decorating my own here in Chu-Lai. Being Club Officer for a Battalion Officers. Club has presented some problems for me. We are just finishing the new club, built by all the officers in this Battalion, and need some indoor game supplies. By this I mean any used cards and poker chips you could give us, as these are hard to come by here and we do spend much of our time playing cards, I am planning to set up one room for our poker room but dont much to start with now. If you could be of any assis- tance to us we would greatly appreciate it, I also believe it would be a great morale booster. Perhaps a sign or a flag to place there would help turn the atmosphere back home again, and away for herej We are by no means professional, card sharks but like to have a good time on our off duty hours, I know some brightining up would help. Please let us know if you can help in any way. Your Man in Chu-Lai WILLIAM B BROOME III WO-1 Aviation Club Officer CAB
