It?╟╓s a paunchier Laine seen this time around who might well trim the Waistline to?╟╓ at least a nearness of its former slimness. ?╟úYour Cheatin?╟╓ Heart?╟Ñ is' vibrant and earns a good reaction. ?╟úI?╟╓d Give My Life To Have Your Love?╟Ñ is sung as a -tribute to its composer, Carl Fischer, his late conductor. ?╟úMarina Mine?╟Ñ is socko, while Frank Sinatra fans may still claim ?╟úOne For My Baby?╟Ñ as their idol?╟╓s. Laine, beats out a novel jazz version pf ?╟úSome Day?╟Ñ with good net results. His most vibrant topper is ?╟úGranada,?╟Ñ that, rates prolonged applause. His old jokes, however, are very old indeed and their timeworn estate certainly invites replacement. Zippy the Chimp garners gobs of laughter as he roller-skates into the aiMiehce or climbs into his high chair, from which vantage point he knocks out piano tunes on a miniature keyboard. The Simian tyke is a good crowd-pleaser dancing the mambo or teasing the audience with a water gun and goes off to a big hand. Both Donn Arden numbers are spectacular. The first, a small town production idea, finds a flower-covered cottage as the setting with the dancers disporting themselves arPuim a huge replica of a record- , placer. A swaying pirate ship garners ^ big applause in the second number" involving the captive dancers. The routines, lighting and costuipfs are topnotch and production finger Art Johnson is a standout \ in both numbers, played Beatl'y by the Carlton Hayes |fl ji Wmm Bob. *
