After 1937, when Miller formed his own orchestra, McKinley had much to do with the arrangements which marked the inimitable ?╟úMiller style,?╟Ñ to which he still adheres under the popuar late t band 1 cader?╟╓s name. In addition to the McKinley group, j which performs for dance music between shows as well as for the show \ itself, Bela Babat and his orchestra WHERE-^ \ play for dancing. Sharing the showtime podium is the Lenny Hambro Quintet, and featured vocalist Lorry Peters. Opening this week is the A laisonette at the St. Regis Hotel, where on 1 h u rsday, Septembe r 4, AI a rsha 11 Grant s trio and singer Julie Wilson .begin a four-week engagement. Grant?╟╓s group is known to people who summer i,U Southampton, where the group has played at Herb McCarthy's Bowden Square for the past two summers, and to Florida winter, residents, where it has played the past two winters at The Casablanca in Palm Beach. The Grant trio will accompany Miss Wilson?╟╓s singing, and will also alternate for daUcing with the Milt Shaw orchestra. Roberta Shenvood, a singer with inimitable personal style, bowed in last week at the famous Latin Quarter, where she shares the spotlight with comedian Corbett Monica, the seepnd-Villed star. Miss Sherwood began her career in Miami Beach, where she was ?╟údiscovered?╟Ñ by various New York columnists whose praise spelled success for the exuberant star. She has beep heard in New York at the Eden Roc club and the Copacabana, and has been a successful Decca recording and television performer. / M r.
