Three hundred special guests, celebrities and press will converge on the Sands for the celebration, starting Friday with a mldnlte Supper and Dancing Party in the Garden Room. The Tenth Anniversary Dinner will be staged on Saturday in the Copa Room, followed by another supper and dancing Gala in the Garden Room expected to last past dawn. At the Anniversary Dinner, Danny Thomas will cut the Sands birthday cake for the tenth consecutive year, dating back to 1952 when he opened the first of the Jack Entratter Copa shows *diieh have made tint Sands the top star showcase in the world. Thomas, appearing at the Sands now for his 17th engagement, will be marking his 40,320th minute of Copa stage performances at the Saturday night dinner shew.
