    LIDO-STARDUST .72-73 Revue Tentative outline of NAPOLEON IN MOSCOW.1812 production Part one: The crown of the Tsars The entire base of the crown,which covers the entire stage, will be decorated by girls in red capes whose headdresses are in the form of a stone which represents the diamonds of the crown.(May be 4 show girls and 4 Bluebells) The crown splits in the center and opens to discover the terraces of the Kremlin,forming a double staircase in the form of a horseshoe,decorate by white cossaks carrying lighted candelabras(May be 12 BB) At this moment a voice is heard from loudspeaker:"Fellow Russian*,we are obliged to receive the invader,but he should not believe that he has conquered us, I,governor of Moscow,swear that we will rid ourselves of al] of them,even if we must destroy our city1* Part 2 Diplomatic reception of conqueror Arrival of Russian notables (High society,SeigneursfBoyards etc(may be last 4 show girls plus 4 first show girls having changed,plus boys; Drum roll announcing the arrival of Napoleon in battle dress,grey cloak,legendary hat,accompanied by grenadier guards (Stunt men?).They stay standing on the upper platform. Danse Polonaise by the court Ladies alone^ with large handkerchiefs. Napoleon comes down toward them and makes a few friendly gestures toward certain ones,but they snob him by turning their backs. After the Polonaise the cossaks leave their candelabras(which are stationary)and come on stage for a Russian dance,utilizing soloists if possible and boys if necessary/ At the end of the dance we see several revolutionary type(men or womer cross outside the terrace carrying torches. Cries and gunshots heard from outside.The city belfr^y strikes.First glow of fires. Nervous excitement among the guests who exit confusely while the set is disappearing leaving only the general panorama of Moscow.(The terrace is built on the back elevator) Part 3 The Voluntary burning of Moscow Smoke,red gl*ow rising slowly from ground,houses beginning to crash into flammes,sky becomes red,while Napoleon,alone,his back to the audience watches the destruction. Toward the end of the tableau we can hear a choir singing the nationa Russian anthem.
