Mr. and Mrs. Rush arrived at 10:15 a.m., from Reno. On hand to greet them, along with Shapiro and Foladare, were Thomas Seay, Imperial Chief Rabban; Chester A. Hogan, Imperial Assistant Rabban; and C. P. McGregor, Imperial Oriental Guide. Pictures were taken by the Las Vegas News Bureau. Neither the Las Vegas Sun nor the Review-Journal was able to send a photo- grapher, but both said they would use pictures provided. At the hotel, additional pictures were taken prior to an 11 a.m., newspaper news conference. Both the Sun and R-J sent reporters... the Sun sent Joy Fisher, the R-J sent Richard Brennaman. At 1 p.m., a second conference was held for television news men. Dave Campbell represented KORK-TV, Mai Harris came from KLAS-TV and Ted Mclnstrie was sent by KSHO-TV. All three took film footage and sound interviews. Mr. Shapiro also requested some pictures taken in the evening at a small cocktail gathering and later in the showroom. His request was honored, and everything went smoothly. ron erickson
