mmmiMmwmMAN COMPANY pubf/c/sts PLANNING RECOMMENDATIONS S 1. Build up the theme: LAS VEGAS CONVENTION PLAYGROUND OF THE WORLDI 2. Have artwork designed as a symbol or a standard trade- mark of Las Vegas based on the above idea, incorporating Vegas Vicki, if possible. 3. Develop in discussions with the Promotion Committee, slogans and theme taglines along this line: a) IN LAS VEGAS --- CONVENTIONS ARE HOLIDAYSI b) LAS VEGASI?╟÷ Meeting Place of the World1 c) CONVENTION-HOLIDAYS1 d) Meetings by day --- the nite's for play?╟╓ e) ONLY IN LAS VEGAS CAN YOU MIX CONVENTION BUSINESS AND pleasure: 4. Develop a striking Convention Solicitation Kit in the form of a large Silver Dollar ?╟÷ pound home the idea of the Silver Dollar as the theme for Vegas' Convention Promotion, (see rough sample) 5. Develop a simple mailing piece or broadside with this in mind: we should try to get to the grass roots people, the actual conventioneers who are meeting at a large convention in other cities, and get them thinking about Las Vegas in comparison to the city they are in right then. A man who meets with distributors from all over the country in elaborate convention rooms, for example, in Miami, needs relaxation, entertainment, FUN ?╟÷ after the convention business of the day. He is vulnerable to ideas, suggestions, and the comparison of what other citids like Miami can offer him and what Las Vegas could offer him. THIS IS THE POINT AT WHICH WE SHOULD PRESS THE GREAT ADVANTAGE WE HAVE OF BEING ?╟╓?╟╓THE ENTERTAINMENT AND FUN CAPITAL OF THE WORLD.?╟Ñ Stir the grass roots people up enough ?╟÷ they will stir their leaders to bring their next convention to Las Vegas. - 1 - 9508 WILSHIRE BLVD. ?╟≤ BEVERLY HILLS, CAL. ?╟≤ BRADSHAW 2-8611
