m MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY WATER DISTRICT, HELD IN THE BOARD ROOM OF THE DISTRICT OFFICE, 919 WEST BONANZA ROAD, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Las Vegas Valley Water District was held in the Board Room of the District office, 919 West Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, Nevada. The meeting was called to order by President Thomas A. Campbell at 7:30 P. M., Wednesday, November 7, 1956. The following Directors were present: Thomas A. Campbell G. William Coulthard Harry E. Miller C. Norman Cornwall R. E. Thorn William L. Rosevear Absent: S. R. DuBravac Also present: W. C. Renshaw, John McNamee, Mary Jean Barozzi, and John Way and Jack Levy representatives of Badger Meter Company George Warner, Ellis Selin, Dr. Leonard Carpi, Edward Young, Murray Posin and Mrs. Ellis Selin representatives of the Charleston Park Improvement Association Lee Conlon, Stenotype reporter, present to take a verbatim transcript of meeting with Charleston Park Improvement Ass’n. CHARLESTON PARK IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION President Campbell announced that the first matter on the agenda was the appearance of representatives of the Charleston Park Improvement Association who had requested an opportunity to meet with the Board to discuss the District*s metered rates and policies. He noted the presence of the representatives and asked that they proceed with the discussion. Attorney Murray Posin lead off the discussion by explaining why the Association had originally requested a meeting with the Board of Directors when it was found that the District intended to bill Charleston Park under metered rates. He was followed by George Warner, President of the Association, who explained that the Association felt the District was discriminating against Charleston Park by instituting billing under metered rates in that subdivision before meters were installed in the balance of the City. Mr. Selin discussed the metered rates briefly. Edward Young, Vice President of the Association, then explained why he thought the District was discriminating against Charleston Park.
