Ga.ssxx>y, Jr. February 23, i960 Mr. A1 Freeman Publicity Director Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Freeman: This is in line with your conversation with Mr. Tony Zoppa regard- ing the trip to Las Vegas for approximately 40 couples. Enclosed you will find a list of the group participating, should you folks decide to furnish the plane. It is my understanding here that you have everything pretty well worked out. After checking the list I understand if you are satisfied with the group, the hotel will go along. Everyone of the men who would be making the trip are young prominent business and civic leaders in Dallas. One of the group, Bob Stewart, has just been named President of the First National Bank in Dallas. Practically all of the others are either President or an officer of their respective companies, or operate their own businesses. Any weekend in April, after April 2, that would be satisfactory with you folks, would be fine with us. I think setting it up at least a month or so in advance would give the Sands an opportunity to select the time that would serve to your best advantage and also give everyone here plenty of time to make plans. There will probably be a few conflicts on any date selected for some of the people involved. I have listed k-6 couples and it could be that practically all would be able to go on the date you pick. In any case we will guarantee you a minimum of 40. If it meets with your approval, plans would be to fly out on Friday morning and leave there for the return trip on Monday morning. We certainly appreciate the Sands1 interest in working with this group. All of us are looking forward to the trip and our stay at the Sands.
