I agree.l/W August 10, 1972 Mr. A1 Freeman SANDS HOTEL Las Vegas, Nevada 89109 Dear Al, Here are the highlights of the exclusive promotional tie-in for the Sands with the L.A. Sharks of the new World Hockey Association. This arrangement would be for an entire season, start- ing Oct. 13, 1972 thru April of 1973. It will involve 34 games played at the Forum in Los Angeles and 5 in Long Beach. The Sharks open their season against Bobby Hull. They are in a sold-out condition for the first three games and season tickets are going at a fast rate. 14,500 people per game, plus radio and occassional TV coverage. Here?╟╓s the minimum exposure the Sands will receive for their participation: 1. A Sands ad on the back of every ticket printed for these 39 games (minimum of 665,000 units) 2. A four color page ad in the program book sold at each of the 39 games. 3. At halftime, two people from the audience will be selected for a 'Puck Shoot'. They will each take one shot at the goal from 60' away and a second shot from 100' away. They must shoot into a smaller than goal size area to win. The goal unit can be a photo of the front of the Sands with a cut-out section where the puck must go thru to win. The prize for a winner from 60' away would be a 3 day - 2 night holiday at the Sands. The prize for a winner from 100' away (and they expect possibly 5 in two years) would be $100.00 and a week at the Sands. INTER/MEDIA, INC.
