?╟≤MS-DMEDtW TO: Law Faculty and Students FROM: Bob Manchester DATE: May 20, 1968 Saturday afternoon two public relations men from Howard Hughes, Inc., Las Vega$ Levada, offered us the following plan: A two-day trip to Las Vegas for $30 per couple. This includes free transportation on a Frontier 727 jet and free hotel accommodations. Once in Las Vegas we would have to pay for all meals, drinks, golf, and gambling, etc. The saving (on a per couple basis) should be $179 air fare $40-50 hotel room for 2 days $220-230 saving They said that this promotional plan is a standard one which Hughes offers law students and faculty in order to show that Las Vegas is a reputable place for conventions. To qualify for this rate those interested must: 1. go and return as a group on the same flight. The plane leaves Monday morning and returns Wednesday night. Open dates for us are any Monday in June or July. But to qualify, the group must be 12 or 13 couples per plane. There must be at least 24 ?╟  and no more than 26 people per plane load, and as many of us as want to may go - subject to the same restriction per plane. It would be possible to have two groups go on the same day with different flights, or to have two groups go on different weekends. 2. A refundable deposit of $25 per couple is required. Thus, $55 per couple will have to be collected. ($15 per person and $25 deposit). I am not interested in collecting money for this, etc. If anyone is, please see me before Tuesday.
