    I # By Contract entered into on the 20th day of April, A.D. 1872, between the Floral Springs Water Company and the County of Lincoln of the State of Nevada by its Commissioners etc., it was agreed that on the performance of certain conditions of the said Water company, and for certain considerations mentioned in said contract, the said County Commissioners would levy and col­lect a certain tax as provided by Act of the Legislature of Nevada entitled "An Act to create a Fire Department Fund,“ Ap­proved March 9th, 1865, and would pay therefrom to the said Water Company Six Thousand Dollars in Gold Coin at two per cent per month until paid from the time all the material -(pipes, plugs etc. ) was delivered at Pioehe, and the Agent of said Water Com­pany should notify the Trustees of the Fire Department of Pioehe, it was so on hand. Now therefore this is to show that said material was on hand and such notice given on the 22nd day of June 1872, and that said County of Lincoln by its said Commissioners will pay such sum of Six Thousand Dollars as provided in said Contract to the said Floral Springs Water Company on the fulfillment of the obligations on its part with interest thereon at the rate of two per cent per month in like Gold Coin, from the 22nd day of June A. D. 1872 until paid. And a certified copy of said Contract is annexed hereto and made a part of this instrument. IN WITNESS WHEREOF the said County Commissioners have here­unto set their hands and caused the County Seal to be affixed on this 8th day of July, A.D.1872. Wra. G. Giissan, (SEAL) M.
