At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas Clark County, Nevada, held on the 15th day of March, 1929, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Jesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy and W. C. German, together with the City Attorney and Clerk. ABSENT: Commissioners O. J. Smith and Roy Neagle. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. It was moved by Commissioner Mundy and seconded by Commissioner German that the City Attorney, F. A. Stevens, Esq., be authorized to go to Carson City for defense of the City of Las Vegas in the case entitled: H. BLANDING, W. S. RHOADS, J. S. SMITH, and J. L. FILBEY, Plaintiffs, -VS- NO. 1581. THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION: FRED HESSE as Mayor, O. J. SMITH, as Commissioner, W. H. ELWELL as Commissioner, W. B. MUNDY, as Commissioner, and C. J. HAMMOND as Commissioner, of said The City of Las Vegas; FRED HESSE individually, O. J. SMITH individually, W. H. ELWELL individually, W. B. MUNDY individually and C. J. HAMMOND individually; FIRST STATE BANK OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, INCORPORATED, A Corporation; M. A. DISKIN as Attorney General of the State of Nevada; M. A. DISKIN individually, W. E. HANKINS, LEO A. McNAMEE, JOHN DOE, RICHARD ROE, JOHN BLACK, RICHARD GREEN, HENRY WHITE, JANE DOE, SARAH ROE, PEARL GREEN, and JOHN DOE COMPANY, a Corporation, Defendants. to be heard before the Supreme Court of the State of Nevada, and that said City Attorney be allowed all necessary expenses incurred in making the trip to Carson City. The vote on said resolution was as follows: Commissioners W. B. Mundy, W. C. German and His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse voting aye; noes; none. Mr. W. E. Ferron, a member of the City Planning Commission, appeared before the Board and made an oral report on street lighting, which questions had been investigated by him in several cities in southern California. A plat of East Vegas Tract, S½SE¼ Sec. 13 and NE¼ Section 24, Township 20 South, Range 61 East, M. D. B. & M. was presented to the Board for approval. It appearing to the Board that said plat is in proper form, it was by the Board ordered, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, that the Mayor approve said plat and the Clerk attest the same. The clerk was directed to notify the Roche-Axman Company, in writing, that the City of Las Vegas does not object to the assignment of compensation due them under their contract with the City of Las Vegas for street improvements, but that the City does object to assignment of the contract. No further business appearing before the Board at this time, the meeting was recessed to Saturday, March 16th, 1929, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock, P. M.
