l>&a Vegas - January 22, 1948 R 45 Mr. Frank Strong; In connection with to have the Southern Nevada P onewgeort iCaotmipoannsy nsouwp pluyn dpeorw weary to the Railroad facilities at Las Vegas, In lieu of power at present furnished by ©ur ©wn power plant; As a matter of information I attach copy of letter fro® General Manager of the Power Company t© Mr. Perkins at Omaha outlining the easements they will re­quire for construction of pole line over Railroad prop­erty* The plan is to start at the Power Companys sub— station on Lot located on South Main Street, thence across the tracks* on a tangent to the centerline of Section 33 and north along this line as described in at­tached, to a connection at the site of the present Power House, and eventually to a connection at their existing sub-station in Bonanza Village, eo that power may be de­livered from either direction in case of trouble. Assume we will soon receive requests from the Omaha office for preparation of easements, and I am sending you this information 00 it can be compared with our plane for development of Industrial Tract south of the old stock yard site on West Charleston, Understand our Omaha office desires this power to be available by April 1st, and the local Power Company* is prepared to start construction ©f the pole line as soon as permission is granted to pass over Railroad property.
