    ORDINANCE NO. 384 Not adopted. ADOPTION OF CODE ORDINANCE NO. 385 "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A NEW REVISION AND CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED THEREIN AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH." The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the ordinances of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, of a general and permanent nature, as codified in the following chapters, namely, Chapters 1 to 38, both inclusive, are ordained as general ordi­nances and are adopted as the "Code of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949." Section 2. That all provisions of said code shall be in force and effect on and after the 1st day of July, 1949, and all ordinances of a general and permanent nature in force on April 12, 1949, and not contained in said code are hereby repealed except as hereinafter provided. Section 3. That the repeal provided for in the preceding section of this ordinance shall not affect any offense or act committed or done or any penalty or forfeiture incurred or any contract or right established or accruing before the 1st day of July, 1949; nor shall such repeal affect any ordinance or resolution promising or guaranteeing the payment of money for the City or authorizing the issue of any bonds of said City or any evidence of said City's indebtedness, or any contract or obligation assumed by said City; nor shall said repeal affect the administrative ordinances or resolutions of the Board of Commissioners not in conflict or inconsistent with the provisions of this code; nor shall it affect any right or franchise conferred by any ordinance or resolution of the Board of Commissioners or any person or corporation; not shall it affect the following ordinances Numbered: 217, 230, 292, 303, 304, 306, 307, 308, 317, 347, and 366, or any amendment thereto; nor shall it affect any prosecution, suit or other proceeding pending or any judgment rendered on or prior to the 1st day of July, 1949; nor shall it affect any ordinances of the City adopted on the final passage since the 12th day of April, 1949. Section 4. That three (3) copies of "The Code of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949" be filed in the office of the City Clerk and be made available to all persons desiring to examine the same. Section 5. That the said "Code of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949" shall be published in book form under the seal of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. S/ E. W. Cragin_______________ Mayor ATTEST: S/ Shirley Ballinger__________ City Clerk The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of City Commissioners on the 4th day of June, 1949 and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Moore and Clark for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on the said ordinance on the 4th day of June, 1949; which was the next special meeting of said Board of City Commissioners called for that purpose; that at said special meeting held on the 4th day of June, 1949, the proposed ordinance was read in full to the Board of City Commissioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Baskin. Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor Mayor E. W. Cragin_____________ Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. APPROVED: S/ E. W. Cragin Mayor ATTEST: S/ Shirley Ballinger City Clerk NOTICE ADOPTION OF CODE FOR THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS. NEVADA Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, having ordered the codification and revision of the ordinances of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, did, on the 4th day of June, 1949, pass Ordinance No. 385 entitled "An Ordinance Adopting A New Revision And Codification Of The Ordinances Of The City of Las Vegas, Nevada, Providing For The Repeal Of Certain Ordinances Not Included Therein And For Other Purposes As Hereinafter Set Forth", thereby adopting said code. That more than fifty (50) copies of the said code known as "The Code of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, 1949" have been printed in book form, and three (3) copies thereof are now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. That pursuant to section 30 of Chapter II of the Charter of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, as amended, 1949 N.C.L., the said codification and revision shall become effective immediately after the second publication of this Notice.
