    Addendum To Cast Contract dated 4/14/97 DRUGS/ALCOHOL POLICY Reporting for or being at work while under the influence of alcohol or drugs; the use of illegal drugs or abuse of legal drugs; or the wrongful possession, use, sale or transfer of any alcoholic beverage, illegal drug, controlled narcotic or non-narcotic drug or substance on hotel premises are serious rule violations and are strictly prohibited. Employees suspected of using illegal drugs, abusing legal drugs, or being under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance may be escorted by security for immediate drug testing at an independent medical facility. Refusal to be tested will result in termination. All costs for the testing will be paid for by the hotel. Any employee who has a blood alcohol level of the legal limit (State of Nevada) or higher is presumed to be under the influence. Any employee who has a blood alcohol level less than the legal limit, which appears to have contributed to an employee's inability to adequately perform the job will also be considered to be under the influence, employees who test positive for illegal drugs or whose blood alcohol level is the legal limit or above, or less than the legal limit but with impairment will also be terminated. Please use prescription drugs cautiously as they may affect your ability to adequately perform your work. Employees who intentionally abuse legal or prescription drugs will be terminated. NO SOLICITATION/NO DISTRIBUTION POLICY The Tropicana maintains a no solicitation/no distribution policy. Solicitation or distribution of any literature on company premises by non-employees is prohibited at all times. Solicitation or distribution of any literature for, or on behalf of, any group or organization, including charitable organizations, is subject to the following restrictions: (a) With the exception of the vending machines, the sale of items is prohibited on company premises at all times; (b) Solicitation or distribution of literature is prohibited during the working time of either the employee doing the solicitation or the employee being solicited; and, (c) Distribution of literature is prohibited in all work areas at all times. Compliance with this policy is necessary to promote quality work performance, as well as clean work areas. TROPICANA APPEARANCE CODE A neat, well-groomed, clean appearance is essential when dealing with the public. You are expected to maintain the highest standards of dress and personal hygiene at all times. Particular attention should be paid to the hands and nails. Nails should be clean and neatly trimmed at all times, less than 1/2 inch from tip to finger. If polished, each nail should be completely polished. Management reserves the right to determine if tattoos are too numerous, unsightly or in poor taste. Personal jewelry should be in good taste and should not spoil the appearance or interfere in the performance of duties. Except for union buttons and name pins or badges issued by the company, no badges or emblems should be worn. Extremes in hair style or dress and excessive jewelry are not permitted. Specific guidelines may be furnished by each department regarding hair styles, skirt lengths, etc. If you have any questions regarding dress and grooming policies, ask your supervisor. General Rules : All Male Employees 1. Hair & Beards. A. Hair: styles or color should not be in the extreme. No shaven heads or shoulder length hair. Hair must be neat and well kept. The ear may be covered to the bottom of the ear lobe. B. Beards: No beards or chop styles are permitted. Employees who were hired with a beard prior to 5/1/93 are grandfathered under this policy and must keep their beards short and neatly trimmed. Once removed, a beard may not be re-grown. Employees without beards must be freshly shaven before reporting to work.
