I agree.Las Vegas - Feb. 10, 1955 Mr. R. L. Adamson - Los Angeles cc - Mr. J, D. Ellis - Los Angeles Herewith copy of sheet no. 22 of 42 sheets of J. M. Montgomery plans for Lake Mead Transmission Main for the Las Vegas Valley Water District showing diversion of Las Vegas Creek accomplished by Fisher Contracting Company to prevent water from entering ditch for water main. The J. M. Montgomery Co. has requested permission to leave channel of creek in diversion channel which will be left in a condition acceptable to Union Pacific as this will prevent danger of washing back fill of new main. I can see no reason for not leaving diversion channel as shown unless to do so will affect plans for future development of industrial property in this district. The terrain to the north is higher than to the south so that there will be no increase in flood danger to the Bonanza Road district. The route chosen has apparently been a former overflow channel. Please advise as to your reactions in this matter. C. S. Jenkins N IK
