I agree.Jb!ouis Prima with Qia Jftaiotu, Sam Patera an9ike (Witnesses Capsule Biography of ROLLY DEE (Bass) 279 E. Warm Springs Rd. Las Vegas Nevada One of the solid backbones of today's versatile Prima aggregation is Roily Dee,another New Englander heading from Providence, R. I. .In his earlier days, Dee was not only an accomplished musician on bass, as well as ukelele, piano, fender and guitar, but he was also a five-letter man as an athlete. He wavered for awhile as to which course in life to take, however the bright lights and the excitement of playing and performing finally lured him away from the demanding physical exertion as an athlete. He started working in small cocktail groups, and between the instrumentals during each show he started developing as a singer-impressionist. Amongst the latter personalities he has mimed are Bing Crosby, Billy Eckstine, Tony Bennett and Louis Armstrong, the latter being one of his facorites performed nitely with Louis Prima. Following his professional, big time kickoff in the theatrical world on the Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts network TV show, Dee toured throughout the U.S., finally ending up in Las Vegas as a seven-year member of the Prima package. Dee's direct and most pinpointed description of working with the perennial musical star is "There is no comparison in working for this great bandleader, whereby every number is injected with pulsating excitement that is unique with every note on the scale."
