GROSSMAN I received your letter of March 4, 1966 with copy of the letter to you from Leo B. Salkin dated March 1, 1966. I have discussed the situation with Joe, and, as far as he knows, the only date that Red has approved is the Illinois State Fair on August 20, 1966, for which a contract has now been signed and distributed. As far as Joe knows, Red has not approved the Kentucky State Fair or the Indiana State Fair. You should discuss this with Jack. I note in Salkin*s letter to you, in the last sentence of the first paragraph, he refers to a commission "on the three dates I have already booked". You must clarify this situation immediately and then we must go on record with Salkin so that it is clear that only the Illinois State Fair on August 20, 1966 is firm. As you know, we have been involved in one law- suit in the past and we must clarify these situations in writing as quickly as possible.
