(As the TOWNSMEN cross to STAGE RIGHT in front of'the show scrim, LIGHTS come up behind the scrim revealing the wagon moving STAGE LEFT, filled with the BROTHERS and their blanket covered girls. The girls are kicking and sobbing. ADAM is driving. BENJAMIN is just behind him.) BENJAMIN (an anxious whisper) Hurry up ?╟÷ I hear the townsfolk cornin'. ADAM I'm movin' as fast as I can. CALEB They're gainin' on us. ADAM I know what I'm doing. (The WAGON keeps moving while LIGHTS come back up on the TOWNSMEN DOWNSTAGE RIGHT) BIXBY I can see 'em.
