I agree.LAS VEGAS AND BROADWAY WILL SIT UP AND TAKE NOTICE "You have to keep evolving - you just can't stay in one place," is the philosophy of Jerry Jackson, creator, director and choreographer of GALAXIES, and true to this concept, Jerry himself never stays in one place, particularly when describing his own show. With a wave of his arm he directs the music on the rehearsal tape, bursting into song as the melody builds up, and occasionally leaping to his feet to demonstrate the exact dance step he wants. All this energy has over the past six months been channelled towards one specific goal - to produce a stage show that will make both Las Vegas and Broadway sit up and take notice. For Jackson, the result is a show which breaks new ground combining the style of the opera, the grace of ballet and the music of classical composers with the excitement of a variety performance, GALAXIES is the culture of the late 20th century coming to life under his direction. The energy comes through in the production of a hectic performance in which most segments are only 45 seconds in length and the longest is a minute and a half. Special effects create the light, colour and sound, but it is Jackson's sheer drive and professionalism which stamps GALAXIES with class.
