STATE OF NEVADA Whereas, Tenple Beth Sholom will host one of the most spectacular events of the year, "The Crystol Ball", on Sunday, June 1.2, 1994 at the Sheraton Desert Inn Hotel, honoring Edythe Kotz for her outstanding contributions; and Whereas, Edythe Kotz, one of Nevada's most distinguished citizens, has demonstrated exemplary services to the Jewish comrunity, Southern Nevada, and to the Stote of Nevada; and Whereas, Fdythe Fctz is tin founder of the Jewish. Federation Newspaper, "The Jewish Reporter", end is the organizer arid director cf the Clark County School District Volur teers for Education Program,; and. Whereas, Edythe Katz was appointed to the Governor's Advisory Council on Holocaust Education, end has worked with the Clark County School District, UNL.V, the Legislature and Governor of this state, to ensure that Holocaust FcXcction is taught in the Clark County School District; and Whereas, Edythe Kotz's voice for Holocaust Education hes caused surrounding stctes to Icok at Nevada as a model end leader in Holocaust Education; ard Whereas, Edythe Fatz's corrnJ tment arid dedication to Holocaust Studies and Education have made her a leading advocate for human rights ret only in Nevada but throughout the United States; NCW, THEREFORE, 1, WB MILLER, GOVERNOR.
