I agree.EPIC RECORDS 51 West 52 Street New York, New York 10019 (212) 765-4321 Leonard S. Levy, Vice President General Manager June 22, 1966 Mr. A1 Freeman The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: It is entirely possible that by the time you receive this letter you will have met our Western Regional Sales Manager, Mr. John Mahan. I spoke with John last evening and filled him in on the promotional and publicity aspects of our forthcoming meeting at the hotel. This was done verbally since he told me that he had plans to go into Vegas for other business purposes and I thought it would be wise that contact be made with you and Joe Carbone at this time. Coincidentally, the final line-up of artists who will be appearing at our banquet show on Tuesday, July 19 had just been firmed yesterday afternoon. Here is that line up. The show will be headlined by Bobby Vinton rather than by Nancy Ames who had a commitment which could not be broken. The comedian Norm Crosby will be the master of ceremonies and the other acts are as follows: The Vibrations - A negro pop/rhythm and blues vocal group. Walter Jackson - One of the top up-and-coming Negro performers. (Incidentally, he has been incapacitated since childhood by infantile paralysis and performs on crutches.) Ronnie David - The pianist with whom you are familiar.
