I agree.SUGGESTION FOR'AN EDITORIAL On September 2, Paul Anka begins an engagement at the Sands Hotel. Mr. Anka, who is 23 years old, is perhaps the most success- ful singer-composer of his generation anywhere. He is an inter- _ national favorite who apparently has the ability to establish instant rapport with other young people anywhere in the world, simply by opening his mouth and singing. Recently, for instance, Mr. Anka toured Iron Curtain Poland. Not at State Department suggestion but at the behest of the Polish government. He was the first artist from America ever to be so invited. Why? Well, it seems he accidentally ran into a contingent of ranking V.I.Polskies on a plane going to Paris and they got to talking, fhe result was they invited him to tour their homeland. Nof ifs, ands, buts or red tape ?╟÷ it was as simple as that.
