S. stepped off the plane at the airport Tuesday, to be slapped in the face with 117 de'grees of Las , I Vegas heat. One wilted-looking newsman stepped j f down and muttered, ?╟úMad dogs and L. A. press go ; I out in the noonday sun.?╟Ñ THE NATION?╟╓S FLACKS were in town, of course, [ to see the grand unveiling of the Stardust?╟╓s new edition [of ?╟úLe Lido de Paris.?╟Ñ If you think the boys were hot when they got off the plane, you should have seen them during the show. They absolutely sizzled. Before them 'performed 70 of Europe?╟╓s most talented artists which included a stage full of the world-famous Bluebell girls, 'more beautiful than ever and just as nude. The lavish 'extravaganza runs for about an hour and a half. The Bluebell girls make six changes during the performance, while the models make seven (they do wear some] clothes.) Fifteen different sets are used in the seven numbers presented, but the showstopper is a fantastic giant waterfall that pumps 6,000 gallons of water a I jtohich took place last night! $o a capacity audience of TOO I Jasons and a flock of stand-1 [pa I T While this second edition of I W the P*arisien revue, hril-l I liantly staged by Donn Ardenl I and presented by Frank' Ifiennes, is entitled ?╟úCa C?╟╓Est It?╟╓Amour,?╟Ñ it also could be I hailed ?╟úNo Nudes Is Good t BEAUTIFUL COSTUMES ?√ß [ The French dolls are onlyiB bare from the waist up, andlB .they are beautifully. cos-* turned?╟÷to the tune of about ?√ß $350,000 and they win ; ap- ?√ß plause time after time, f Donn Arden has out-done* himself with production* numbers, lavish in the man-* I ner of the late Florenz Zieg-| feld, the late Earl Carroll,?√ß those Broadway greats.
