Salary agreed upon, $25,000,00, less my commission, but artist would have to do two shows on account of the limited seating capacity of the building. I have another firm offer for the two days following, Saturday and Sunday, August 27th-28th, at the Indiana State Fair (Skelton's home state) with a guarantee of $30,000.00 against a privilege of 60% of the net receipts, less my commission, but I must know by Wednesday of next week when I have a meeting with the board. In 1965 Lawrence Welk played Indiana State Fair for two days and grossed $96,000,00, but this building is limited to 10,000 seats with a top admission of $3.50, so I haven't yet discussed the number of shows.
