PRESS RELEASE The key to the City of Las Vegas was presented today to 85 members of the Amusement Trade Association (ATA) of the United Kingdom at a luncheon in the Sands Hotel. Bernard Briggs, Chairman of the Amusement Trade Association, accepted the key on behalf of the delegation from City The group, distributors and operators of amusement and gaming machines throughout the UK attended the MOA (Music Operators of America) and NAMA (National Automatic Merchandizing Association) Conventions in Chicago where they also toured the plants of major equipment manufacturers such as Bally (who are sponsoring today's luncheon), Williams and Seeburg, Rock-Ola and Jennings. The group is accompanied by their United Kingdom travel agent, Mr. T.Gaston of D.F.Long and Company. This first delegation of the ATA was brought to the United States and Las Vegas as a "Visit USA" project of El A1 Israel Airlines, in conjunction with President Johnson's program to encourage foreign tourism and trade to America.
