This will include prominently mention of the Sands Hotel as the resort hotel for the Jackpot Prize winner. We will include photographs of the hotel, if you will supply these to us (a sample of the 1955 report is in- cluded to indicate type of report that will be made for '56). This report will be used as an insert in our HARDWARE retailer magazine, again reaching UO,178 subscribers in the hardware field, and will be circu- lated in addition as a mailing piece to manufacturers, advertising agencies and wholesalers in the hardware It is our plan to make this Jackpot Prize Contest an annual award in connection with Hardware Week, and next year in all the promotional mailings leading up to Hardware Week (similar to the scheduled out- line in the enclosed Hardware Week Fact Book) we will be pleased to mention the name of the Sands Hotel and give prominent publicity to the hotel, if we can make advance arrangements at this time for your continuing cooperation. Also, next year in the four page announcement folder in the contest for wholesaler salesmen we can include the name of the Sands Hotel and pictures of it. We intend to get out news releases to the hardware trade press, adver- tising trade press, business publications and general newspapers in connection with the award of the Jackpot Prize Contest. This will be done immediately after the Jackpot Prize winner has been selected this year (May 15th) and resulting publicity should be wide spread. I genuinely feel that your hotel will receive tremendous amount of beneficial publicity in the hardware field at all levels, if you will provide the five day hotel accommodations of room and meals. The above outline I believe covers most of the publicity that will result from your cooperation, and rest assured we will make every effort to provide additional publicity to Justify your cooperation, both currently and in connection with the promotion build up for next year. Needless to say, we are anxious to have confirmation on these arrange- ments at the earliest possible moment, which will enable us to pick up the hotel name in all of our publicity from now on.
