M c D E V IT T S E C R E T A R Y T O A S S I S T A N T M A N A G E R WATER DEPARTMENT C I T Y O F L O N G B E A C H , C A L I F O R N I A 403 MUNICIPAL UTILITIES BUILDING L O N G B E A C H 2, C A L I F O R N I A February 3, 19*+7 Mr. Bruce Mason Attorney at Law Security Building Long Beach 2, California Dear Sir: Upon examining our records after your visit to this office, we find the following entry in the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Water Commissioners held April 10, 19*frl: "CHANGE IN RULES & REGULATIONS REGARDING ‘FRONTAGE PAYMENT’." "Commissioner Winstead moved, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, that where water mains have been constructed within the city limits, service connections be installed thereon upon payment of the installation charges for the service connections applied for; and that extension of water mains and installation of service laterals be made in new subdivisions within the city limits upon the deposit of one dollar per lineal foot of mains in such extension plus twenty dollars per lot fronting on such extension, an amount to be refunded for each permanent active service connection made to such extension by consumers within ten years from the June 30th or December 31st first next succeeding the date such deposit is made, which amount shall equal the deposit divided by three-fourths of the number of lots fronting on such extension, the aggregate amount refunded not to exceed the amount of the deposit, said refunds to be made within thirty days after June 30th and December 31st for such connections made during the preceding semi-annual period, upon written demand therefor.
