This Clipping From NEW YORK, N. Y. JOURNAL AMERICAN New YorU Cavalcades On Prattle-Tattle Lane ?╟≤ By LOUIS SOBOL- SOMEONE SENT ME a clip from the London Daily Express that throws a little more confusion into the Eva Bartok-Marquis of Milford Haven- Prince Shiv triangle. According to William Hickey, not only did Milford and Eva show up together for the party tossed by Lady Northampton (as was previously reported in news dispatches), but, the day before, Eva drove up in front of the Dorcnester Hotel in her new Rolls Royce?╟÷and waited in the car, powdering her nose in the rear- vision mirror?╟÷occasionally brushing aside a pair of baby's booties which were dangling in front of the mirror. Then Milford Haven arrived, got into the front seat with her, leaned over and kissed her?╟÷and away they went. Hickey adds: "I told Eva Bartok the Maharajah (Prince Shiv's pa) thought her romance with Prince Shiv was a publicity stunt. She answered: 'I have not had the pleasure of meeting the Maharajah but I can hardly credit he would say such a thing.'" A few days later, according to the reports from London, Miss Bartok flew off to meet Prince Shiv. All very confusing. * * # Speaking of confusion, the lads who go in for betting on elections are even more confused now as the Big Day nears. The recent newspaper polls indicating a heavy switch to Rockefeller not only has brought the odds down to even-Steven?╟÷but now there is a general reluctance to lay any sizeable wagers. A Wall Street friend of mine said he tried to lure odds of 6-5 (he was taking Harriman)?╟÷and found no offers.. .Add long-time B'way marriages?╟÷Frank Harris (co-owner of the Eden Roc Restaurant) and his wife, Marian?╟÷35 years?╟÷over the weekend... "The only thing that has changed in the neighborhood," he was telling us, "are the rents.
