    BUKfr-y Company* but think they have agreed not to do this * The City going Into the Water business Kill not relieve the situation, because I feel the Las Vegas Land & water Co# has done everything possible to supply the community, and the City going in could not alter that fast one iota# We are really working for the public at the present time, seeking information as to what is the best thing to do - without water we will have no town* When we have ail our data compiled, and it becomes time for the bond issue, it will then be up to you people, particularly the property owners, to decide whether we will have the District or mot#* There were several questions asked of Mr# Miller by the audience, one as to what the Las Vegas Land & Water Company was doing to prevent a shortage such as occurred this past summer, particularly in the high spots around Humtridge, and Mr# Miller answered by saying that they were running additional pipe lines into this particular area, and also have cleaned their wells and casings and perfora­tions, which will increase the flow. Another question raised was "Bow do we know that the rates or charges shall not be excessive?*. Mr* Killer answered that by saying that the Public Servic e Com­mission of the State of Mevada will have the full authority to fix or supervise the making of such rates and charges# Meeting adjourned# 6 -
