I agree.VAN BERNARD PRODUCTIONS, INC. 7800 BEVERLY BOULEVARD LOS ANGELES 36, CALIFORNIA TELEPHONE: 651-3323 April 8, 1965 Mr. Chester B. Masset Commander General Masonic War Veterans 71 West 23rd Street New York 10, N, Y. Dear Mr. Masset: 1 am writing in reference to your kind note of March 29 to Red Skelton. Mr. Skelton would like you to know of his appreciation for having been designated to receive a "Commander Generals Award". Unfortunately, he does not plan to be in New York City in the forseeable future. And by the time this letter reaches you he will be away from Los Angeles until the end of the summer, since production of his television series will have been completed by the end of this week. The optimum time to present the Award would be between June 16 and July 27th when he will be playing at The Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. Possibly someone from a Lodge here in Los Angel would be visiting Las Vegas during this period and could make the presentation. Otherwise we will have to wait until Red returns to Los Angeles the latter part of August. If you wish to make the presentation in Las Vegas during the period mentioned above may I suggest you have your Los Angeles representative contact Mr. A1 Freeman at the Sands Hotel there and set up the arrangements. co: v ir.
