OOP! Howard I. Clark Chief Engineer & Manager LAS VEGAS VALLEY WATER D IS TR IC T Mr. A. M« Polger, General Manager* lias Vegas Land and Water Oo. City. Dear Mr. Tolgers At the hearing before the Public Service Commission in Las Vegas last week* relative to the complaint of the City Commissioners* no evidence was introduced as to the hourly consumption of water on the day of maxi nun use In the summer months. In our telephone conversation re this matter* previous to the hearing, we discussed having an attachment installed at each of the five recording meters, such as a metrograph recorder attached by cable to the volumetric main line service meter. Daily charts pulled from these recorders oould be studied to great advantage on the days of maximum use. Heservoir height recording graph* also. Since the Water District will not be able to supply water to the City during next summer, will you kindly investigate What your superiors would be willing to do as to this matter of a graph recording of the metered flow in each of the transmission lines. I see no reason why the cost of the equipment cannot* if installed be added to the inventory proposed to be purchased by the Water District. Thanking you for an answer as soon as you are able to advise me* and with kind regards* Z am* lours very truly, f%f Howard f. Clark
