I agree.public parks, or for on® public drinking fountain.* It is'our undoretanding that the fire hydrant tees are installed not for the benefit of the subdividers, who will have no further interest in same after their houses are sold; but for the benefit of the Gity in order to afford fire protection to the purchasers of new homes. However, if the installation of fire hydrants in new subdivisions is a City requirement may I respectfully suggest that this be called to the attention of Mr. Gene Clark of Mayfair #2 and Mr. Horace Bhidler of Mayfair #3 so they can make arrangements for setting of fire hydrant tees before the installation of water lines progresses any further. I might explain that the Water Company does not itself Install water mains in Defense Housing Projects, but this work is handled by the eubdividers who are reimbursed for their expenses on completion of the houses. Under these circumstances it should be made plain to the subdividers that the cost of fire hydrant tees required by the City will not be included in such refund arrangement. Confirming our conference we shall be glad to handle the installation of fire hydrants throughout the City whenever you are ready and will appreciate your advising us as to the locations where these hydrants are desired. Yours truly, Mr*. Harold Casa - 2 * January 16* 1943 Superintendent.
