Guild Mr. frank strong I enclose copy of letter fro* the mayor of Las Vegas, concerning the question of producing sufficient water to supply the large number of homes which are expected to materialise in Las Vegas in the very near future, we received this letter lb minutes before press time, but were able to persuade the editor to hold hie issue until we had time to make a reply, which you will note, is in­cluded with attached newspaper clippings. We also diecusssed this matter with hie Honor the Mayor this evening, in detail. He stated considerable pressure was being applied by various factions around town who felt that the water Company and Power Company were doing their best to prevent further growth of the town and to have the 2,000 homes for magnesium plant employees located some­where other than Las Vegas, we told him that this was not even logical, ae additional ouetomers meant additional revenues to both the Water Company and Power Company; but
