OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. March 16th, 1929. At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 16th day of March, 1929, at the hour of 7:30 P. M. PRESENT: His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy, W. C. German, together with the City Attorney and Clerk; also Engineer for the City. ABSENT: Commissioners O. J. Smith and Roy Neagle. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Upon motion of Commissioner Mundy, seconded by Commissioner German, the following resolution was duly adopted: RESOLVED that the City of Las Vegas, acting through the Board of City Commissioners of said City, does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor in behalf of said City, to consent to the assignment by Roche-Axman Company of Los Angeles, of the compensation due them under that certain contract entered into between said City and the said Roche-Axman Company on the 13th day of March, 1929, to California Group Corporation, subject, however, to the right of said city to withhold and deduct such sums as it is provided in the documents forming said contract that said city may withhold and / or deduct. Vote on said resolution was as follows: Commissioners W. B. Mundy, W. C. German and His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse voting aye; noes; none. No further business appearing before the Board at this time, the meeting was recessed to Tuesday, March 19th, 1929 at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 19th day of March, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy, W. C. German, together with the City Clerk. ABSENT: Commissioners O. J. Smith, Roy Neagle and the City Attorney. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Upon motion of Commissioner Mundy, seconded by Commissioner German, it was unanimously RESOLVED, that the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to sign, and the Clerk of this Board be and he is hereby authorized and directed to attest and cause to be published at least once a week for four consecutive weeks prior to April 20, 1929, in the Las Vegas "REVIEW", a daily newspaper of general circulation in the County of Clark, printed and published at the City of Las Vegas, in said County of Clark, a notice of the sale of Fifty of Las Vegas Special 1929 Pavement and Curb Improvement Bonds, such notice to be in substantially the following form, to-wit: NOTICE TO BOND BIDDERS. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, will receive bids until___________o'clock __________M. on the _______day of _________, 1929, for the purchase of fifty (50) bonds of the Las Vegas Special 1929 Pavement and Curb Improvement issue. Said bonds consist of forty (40) bonds in the denomination of One Thousand Dollars ($1000) each, of which four (4) bonds of the denomination of One Thousand dollars each will be payable in ten annual installments, commencing on the first day of January, 1930, and also consists of Ten bonds in the denomination of Three Hundred Seventy seven and 88/100 Dollars ($577.88) each, of which one (1) of the denomination of Three Hundred Seventy seven and 88/100 Dollars will be payable each year commencing on the first day of January, 1930. Said bonds will bear interest at a rate not exceeding seven per centum per annum, payable semi-annually, and will bear date January 1, 1929. Each bid, except the bid of the State of Nevada, if one is received, must be accompanied by a deposit of five per cent. either cash or certified check payable to
