    6i?╟╓si"T0tC if*!*- * Jerrv Jackson is the master-mmd responsible for staging, conceiving, and directing the new 15th edition of f olies Begere *80. This is certainly not the first time f i y y Jackson has been backstage in the Tropicana?╟╓s Tiffany Showroom. In 1975 he unveiled the 14th edition in the same capacity, that won the Folies Can-Can number the Best Production Number of the Year?╟Ñ for three consecutive years in Las Vegas entertainment. Originally from Bristow, Oklahoma, Jackson graduated from UCLA in 1960 with a Masters Degree in Art. While at the University he was an Assistant Professorin the music department. Now a member of ASCAP, he writes most of the original music and lyrics for his productions. In the new Folies Begere 15th edition, he wrote the words and music to the opening song,/?╟ Folies Begere?╟Ñ and the Music Hall Song?╟Ñ. He wrote the lyrics to ?╟úBal a Versailles?╟╓" and Lalo Schiffrin?╟╓s memlody for the boudoir Pas de Deux between Madame du Pompadour and King Louis XV. Besides his theatrical career, Jackson worked for 5* years as a professional photographer in Los Angeles and also as an Interior/Exter- ?√ß ior Architectural Designer. (He has two dental clinics that he designed and bulit for , *he Teamsters , besides numerous homes and offices in the Los Angeles area.) Before choreographing on his own, Jerry was Hermes Pan s Assistant Choreographer for many projects, including the movie ?╟úFinfians Rainbow?╟Ñ. | Jackson s television and stage credits read like Who?╟╓s Who in entertainment. He choreographed the NBC Special ?╟úEntertainment of the (Continued on Page 23) ARTIST (Continued from Page 4) \ ear Awards?╟Ñ, plus the 25th Anniversary of tlu? ?╟úWonderful World of Disney?╟Ñ, the weekly variety show, ?╟úTony Orlando and Dawn?╟Ñ,(all three seasons); and International television productions including ?╟úLine Direct?╟Ñ in France starring Line Renaud, and ?╟ú I eatro Dieci?╟Ñ, Italy. His Broadway credit include ?╟úMan of La Mancha?╟Ñ with Lani Kazan. ?╟úPromise* Promises * starring I tank (iorshin, and ?╟úSeven Brule* for Seven Brothers starring-Jane Powell and Howard Keel.
