I agree.FREEMAN COMPANY pub/ic/sts PLANNING 4/16 m /><)/ /-tJCYtd Jack - Sands?╟÷Gillette Razor TV Commercials 1. Bob Chennault, promotion director for Gillette Razor, called recently to see if I could get Frank Sinatra to do a TV spot for the new campaign for Gillette. 2. I told him such a transaction would have to come thru Frank?╟╓s own agents; that I could do nothing along that line. 3. BUT, I talked him into considering the Sands as the locale for the TV spots, based on the theme "world?╟╓s top entertainment showplace using world?╟╓s top razor" etc. 4. We had several conference calls (1) with Hodshire of Four Star Films, and they liked my idea of using the star?╟╓s dressing room at the Sands as the locale, if we could help get the stars for the commercial. 5. They inferrred they had $7500 for each star I told them it wasn?╟╓t enough to even present to you for consideration. They have upped it to $15,000 to each star. 6. The following letter was written at my suggestion, and based on our ideas of how they could get the stars (PERHAPS) to consider the commercial spot --- which could be done easily while they are here ---- using the Sands as the locale ---- and the coverage would be tremendous. 7. The big question naturally is the TV restrictions on the stars --- but request that you read the attached letter over for consideration.
