    TO AL FREEMAN Pheasant Hunting Proposal We estimate that morel than 600 out-of-state hunters will come ?║?║ to^Las Vegas for the purpose of shooting pheasants at Hidden Hills ranch and game preserve, 45 miles west of the Sands Hot&l, during the months of October through January, constituting this fall*s pheasant hunting season. These hunters are men in the higher income bracket and are among the 40,000 who purchase "pheasant tags" in southern California each year. Host of these hunters drive their own cars, bring their wives, or sweethearts and friends with them. As in the past, this influx will result in considerable hotel and casino patronage. This will mean an increase in business to you of $90,000, based on a minimum expenditure of $150 per hunter. It should be recognized that .each year the number of hunters will be substantially increased. Hidden Hills ranch is already the most widely known pheasant hunting facility among southern Californians. Among} other widespread publicity in local and out-of-state media, KTTV (Los Angeles Times station) featured the ranch facilities on Dec. 11 of last year, during the half-hour "Open Road" television show. The Los Angeles Times, two days later, Dec. 13, carried a full-page travel page spread on the ranch and hunting facilities. Direct mail is sent to 12,000 pheasant hunters in addition to 3,500 aircraft owners, and 3??5??0 physicians among otharx professionals in the Los Angeles area.
