I agree.5746 SUNSET BOULEVARD/LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90028/TEL: 213-462-7111 June 3, 1969 Mr ?╟≤ A1 Freeman Sands Hotel Highway 91 Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: We are looking forward to doing the Sportsmen's World Awards from the Sands again this year on the 28th of June. As per our meeting last Monday, KTTV will take care of the construction of all set pieces as indicated in the rendering, with the following exception: The Sands will provide the center ramp and stairs on camera right, the projection screen and projector, and three platforms for cameras. As we discussed, we are going to provide the red carpet and vinyl floor for the staging area. I noticed the stage floor is in very bad condition due to warpage center stage, that could cause someone to trip. I have talked to Joe Mall, who I understand, will be handling the I.A. stage crew as he did last year. Our lighting director and production man will arrive on Wednesday, June 25th, so stage set up can begin Thursday A.M. All set pieces will be self standing, requiring very little set up time. Your concern over the crew time could be helped if the crew set up the risers, ramps, projection screen, and hung the lighting pipe, which will be the same as last year, prior to Thursday. Bob Donohue will be the Unit Manager and in charge of all production for KTTV as last year. He will arrive early Thursday. Sincerely A.E. Bowen, Production Manager cc: Dave Marmel
