I agree.November 4, 1944 Hr. R. G. Greene Union Oil .Company of California 618 First National Bank Building Great Falls, Montana Dear Scotty: I very much appreciate the prompt response to zay letter regarding the hearing to be held on the Las Vegas Artesian Basin. We had a round table conference with the Chamber cf Commerce, State Engineer, City and County authorities regarding the conservation of water In this basin, and we took the liberty of reading a portion' of your report warning them of the danger of taking water out of the subterranean channel faster than rate of recharge. I sea sure the meeting did a great deal of good toward a mutual understanding of this question. The State Engineer has not yet set a date for the formal hearing but he has agreed to give us at least 15 days notice. When this is received I will communicate wi„t h you further. # With kindest regards I beg to remain, \*r ' . . . ‘ • f - - '... ... ; • . ? - i '" 'v " 1 Very truly yours, w a l W K rm h v m s
