From our experience w ith d iffe r e n t meters, a l l o f them being o f standard manufacture, i t is not p ra ctica b le to measure water accu ra tely w ith them under the low head under which th ey have to operate at the Las Vegas ic e p lan t. Therefore, i t seems to me the only way to determine what water is being used is upon the basis o f what goes in to the manufacture o f the ic e , what is used f o r steam and what is used fo r condensing by evaporation and what is used fo r general purposes around the plant.
