mm Desert Inn, Las Vegas _ t Las Vegas, Sept. 14. Ted Lewis & Orch (14) & Revue featuring Miss Universe Beauties j (10), Manor & Mignon, Bert Gordon, Su'e Evans, Dewey Sisters I (2), Midge & Bill Haggett, Elroy Peace; Donn Arden Dancers & Art Johnson (16); no cover or mini-mujh. Ted Lewis brings his revue and orch m for a sprightly session toil music and frolic, jspiced with a generous application of nostalgiaj as purveyed by the highhatted j tragedian of song. The 85-minute j opus finds Lewis emceeing the acts and wandering in and out of them as smoothly as if they?╟╓d been rehearsed that way. It?╟╓s a good show, j following as it does the familiar J Lewis formula. With his props the highhat, clarM met and cane, Lewis delivers dra- i matie song dissertations, familiar to two generations of cafe devotees, j And whether he leans unashamedly to corn or resurrecto memories, the j * headhner is; a master craftsman.
