The Southern Pacific Company's estimates do not sean to include freight charges and for comparison I have not included it either. Assuming that our Company builds the houses and that half a cent a ton a mile for freight he charged, the cost would he increased about ten per cent. I hope in a Say or two to submit plans and estimates for four and five-room employee's cottages of various styles and of different types of construction which have been prepared in my office, which will cost considerably less to build than the Southern Pacific cottages anfl which are more complete and I believe more convenient* I retain on my files the prints and estimates of the Southern Pacific cottages you sent, where they are available should you wish to refer to them.
