FREEMAN COMPANY pub/ic/sts PLANNING PLAN III General Theme Inside look at backstage machinations of CopaGirl productions, tied in with interview with JE on his show staging. References to Dietrich, such as shot past her off-stage dressing room, etc, can help boost star plugs. PROGRAM IDEAS: ^st segments At 8:32 , show stage manager calling 5 minutes into loudspeaker, other last minute preparations for show, Coates and Entratter backstage to ttbserve what makes a show tick. Bring in JE*s background, perhaps the 1,000,000 dollar picture for CopaGirls, etc. Then into CopaGirls downstairs backstage, flexing, fixing, each doing what they ususally do waiting for the show. Last minute run-down with choreographer, Pauline fixing a tear. All the while the interview with JE, breaking into explanations of various actions seen backstage. Then, into final call, and girls in wings, sound of music, then girls off into stage and out, 2nd0segment At about 8:50, pick up thread of story by snowing girls actually on stage, but from the wings, girls naturally playing towards camera, so backs don't predominate. Camera can poke thru wing opposite from one Marlene uses for entrance. Lights hit stage from front and from band side of stage. Commentator keeps up talk thru number so as not to entail musical costs. This will have to be checked with reference to having to pay for any music heard on mike, no matter how low, etc. 3rd segment At about 9:20, for complete network, and after our show is over, still backstage, showing CopaGirls dressed, perhaps talking to choreographer, getting corrections, talking to JE, and two playing a gin rummy game with Joey Bishop using 6 foot high cards, for a National Gin Rummy (TeudBament. One card, Queen of Hearts, can be cut out, to have face and top of pretty girl poking thru, to heckle Joey. # # # # ui 9508 WILSHIRE BLVD. ?╟≤ BEVERLY HILLS, CAL. ?╟≤ BRADSHAW 2-8611
