OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. JANUARY 4th, 1933. Minutes of a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held on the 4th day of January 1933 at the hour of seven thirty o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present, Mayor Cragin, Commissioners Mundy, German, and Thomas, City Attorney and Clerk, also Alfred Blackman, Auditor. At this time the Board entered into a discussion of ways and means to finance the City of Las Vegas for the present year. After some discussion on the matter it was decided by the members of the Board present to reduce expenses in all departments to the lowest possible figure. On motion of Commissioner Mundy, seconded by Commissioner Thomas the following Resolu­tion was introduced a d passed: Resolved, that the following schedule for salaries for the following officers be in effect from and after Jan. 1st, 1933 until the further order of the Board of Commissioners: J.M. Ullom, City Treasurer $50.00 Per month F.C. DeVinney City Assessor $50.00 " " A.S. Henderson City Attorney $200.00 " " and the salary of Viola Burns, City Clerk be reduced 10% per month placing said salary at $180.00 per month upon said City Clerk, volunteering and offering to take such reduction in salary, same to be in effect until the City is financially able to warrant the salary being returned to $200.00 per month. Vote on the Resolution was as follows: Commissioners Mundy, German, Thomas and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. The Clerk was directed to notify the above officers in writing of the changes in effect. 0 motion of Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Mayor Cragin the following R solution was introduced and passed: Resolved, that commencing with the 1st day of January, 1933 that the salary payroll of the Police and Street Departments be reduced 10% or more. This reduction to be made on the pay roll in its entirety. Vote on the Resolution was as follows: Commissioners Mundy, German and Thomas and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. JANUARY 4th, 1933. Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held on the 4th day of January 1933 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present Mayor Cragin, Commissioners Mundy , German, Thomas and City Attorney Henderson and City Clerk. Absent Commissioner Hansell. Reports of City Clerk and Municipal Judge approved by the Mayor. All claims allowed as per claims and warrant register on file in the office of the clerk. Money received for the month of December as follows: $270.00 Sale Cemetery Lots 24.50 Plumbing permits 711.00 Poll Tax 1,506.50 Municipal Court Fines 4,520.80 Licenses and fees 7,032.80 Total Monies Proportioned as follows: $6,027.30 General Fund. 711.00 Street Fund_ 24.50 W.S. & L. Fund 270.00 Cemetery Fund. 7,032.80 Total. On motion of Commissioner Thomas seconded by Commissioner German it was moved and carried that all slot machine and gaming applications presented to the Board for consideration be granted. Applications being in proper form and money to cover same Being on file with the City Clerk. Vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioner Mundy, German, and Thomas and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. No further business appearing before the Board at this time the meeting recessed until the hour of seven thirty o'clock P.M
