B it June 2, 1935 Re- Last half 1934 Taxes. Mr* Charles Adams Right of Way & Tax Agent U. P, System, LA & SL RR Co. Los Angeles, Cal. Dear Sir: Acknowledging reoeipt of your letter of June the 1st in reference to my letter same subject, May the 29th. I note what you say in reference to bill oollectible against those whose taxes we have paid, but I believe I have the matter arranged in a better way as I have interviewed nearly all of people whose taxes we have paid and it is satisfactory with them that the amounts paid be charged to their account and in this way the deduction made would not be greater than they could pay each month and the small amount of interest which would accrue against these taxes is almost nil. However, I would suggest that you send me bills collectible against those whom we are not making a monthly deduction. There are only two or three of them and if bill collectible is sent to me I will see that same is collected at this point and forwarded to Auditor *s office Tours truly, Vice-President & Agent 1RB/MC cc - C.
