Sands Hotel Las Vegas* Nevada Dear Mr* Freeman During the week of November 12* over 3*000 Mobil Oil Company dealers and their wives will be descending on Las Vegas from all over the western states. Marketing executives of Mobil will also be on hand* along with representatives of key supplying companies. The occasion is Mobil Oil Company1 s 6th Annual Dealer Convention* which is expected to again attract a 50$ boost in attendance (see attached report on last year*s meeting)* While the delegates will be attending the meeting at their own expense* their choice of accommodations will be among a limited number of specific hotels selected by the Convention Committee. The Sanda is included in this group. Reservations will be made direct to individual hotels* or through Mobil* according to preferences speci- fied by the individual delegates* A special convention edition of Automotive Service Dealer News will be mailed by Mobil to all 17*000 of their dealers west of the Mississippi who will be eligible to attend this convention. Mailing will be made on October 10 thirty days prior to the convention week. It will be a key part of the pre-convention attendance build-up. An additional 4*000 copies of this special edition will be distributed to dealers upon registration and at Convention Hall during their stay in Las Vegas. The special edition will carry welcoming messages from Mobil* complete previews of convention activities, program and backgrounds of official participants.
